Creating an Account:
- Open https://code.privado.ai/signup and enter the details.
- We will send you a verification link to the email you used for signup in the previous step. Once you verify your email, you will be able to log in and connect the source code tool of your choice.
Connecting GitHub
When you log in for the first time, we will prompt you to connect your source code management tool. Select GitHub by clicking on Github Marketplace. In case you do not have admin access to the source code management tool, invite the admin by clicking on Invite a Team member.
Another pop-up will open where you can log in to your GitHub account and authenticate Privado Integrator(our app). Please note this step should be done by GitHub admins.
Once you authenticate via your credentials, GitHub will ask you to Authorize the Privado app. These permissions allow us to scan the code repositories.
Connecting BitBucket Account
When you log in for the first time, we will prompt you to connect your source code management tool. Select BitBucket by clicking on Authenticate.
Another pop-up will open where you can log in to your BitBucket account and authenticate Privado(our app). Please note this step should be done by BitBucket admins.
Once you authenticate via your credentials, BitBucket will ask you to Authorize the Privado app. These permissions allow us to scan the code repositories.
Selecting Code Repositories:
Once you Authorize, we will take you back to Privado onboarding. It might take some time to fetch the repositories.
Once you see the repository list, you can select the ones you want to scan and click on Add Selected Repositories at the top. You can add or remove these repositories from our dashboard at any time.
Your setup is complete and you will be able to see the results of our scan soon. Head over to the repository section to see completed code scans.
If you want to add or remove repositories that can be scanned, click on the Add button on the Repositories page and make the changes.
