Steps to Integrate your JIRA Enterprise account with Privado.


Pre-Requisites Steps for Integrations:

These steps are to be done in your JIRA account. For these steps you will need admin access or your JIRA administrator can do this for you.


Login to JIRA & Go to Applications

Click on the Settings icon on the top navigation bar and select applications from the list.



Go to Application Links

From the left navigation menu, under Integrations, click on Application Links.


Create New Link for Privado

You will see an input bar where you have to enter the URL of Privado. If you are on the cloud version of Privado, add code.privado.ai, for the on-premise version add the domain of your Privado instance. Click on Create New Link, followed by Confirm to finish this step.


Add Application Details

A pop-up will open for Link applications, add Application Name as Privado Code Scanning, keep the Application type as is and select the checkbox for Create incoming links. You can skip rest of the fields.



Add details for Authentication

Add a Consumer Key, Consumer Name, note these values since you will need these values to complete installation later. To get Public Key, login to the Privado dashboard, click on Settings > Integrations & select JIRA Enterprise, you will find your public key there which you can copy. Click on Continue to add Privado Application to your JIRA account.



Steps in Privado Dashboard

These steps are to be done on the Privado dashboard and require admin access to the Privado application.


Select JIRA Enterprise from Settings

Login to Privado and navigate to settings and integrations. You will see an icon for JIRA Enterprise, click it to start the integration.

Enter details of JIRA instance

You will have to add your host url, it will look like jira.companyurl.com. The values for Consumer Key and Consumer Name were added in the last step while creating an application link for Privado in JIRA account. Once you have filled these values, click on Connect, authorize Privado from the JIRA pop-up that opens up.


Finish your Setup

Close the JIRA pop-up, click on Continue, and your integration is successful.
